World Mental Health Day is a day for us to come together as a global community, reaffirming our commitment to prioritising mental health and well-being. Everyone can help play a part in raising awareness to destigmatise mental health. Here are some ways you can get started today.

  • Check-in with loved ones: Reach out to friends and family members, ask them how they’re doing, and truly listen to their responses. Sometimes a simple conversation can make a world of difference. 
  • Self-care: Prioritise your own mental health. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation, whether it’s meditation, exercise, reading or spending time with loved ones. 
  • Boost your knowledge: Learn about mental health issues by viewing helpful resources to help you know the signs to be aware of. The more informed we are, the better equipped we are to support those who may be struggling. 
  • Get help when needed: If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, remember that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. There are professionals and organisations ready to offer support.
